Day 1 - Welcome to Cairo
Check-in to the Sofitel El Gezirah and settle-in to your stylish Nile-view room.
Day 2 - Great Pyramids...and a camel
Gaze upon the Great Pyramids of Giza and ponder the enigmatic Sphinx. A special visit has been arranged to the Solar Boat plus a camel ride across desert sands.
Travel to Memphis , the site of Egypt’s ancient capital, to see the colossus of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx. Continue to Sakkara and visit Egypt’s oldest standing stone structure, the Step Pyramid of King Zoser. Meals B
Day 3 - Step aboard the all-suites Star Goddess
Fly to Luxor to embark your 5-star Nile cruiser. Stand before the massive pillars of Karnak Temple. Explore the Valley of Kings with our skilled Egyptologists. And ride a horse-drawn carraige to the Luxor Museum. Tonight, you’ll be enthralled by the Karnak Sound & Light Show. Meals B,L,D
Day 4 - Cruising the Nile toward Esna

Day 5 - Ashore in Edfu and on to Kom Ombo
Step ashore in Edfu to visit the remarkable Temple of Haroeris, rich in design, intricate in detail, ingenious in its construction. Haroeris, the falcon-headed Sun God, was one of the oldest forms of the deity Horus and his temple had daily importance to the ancient Egyptians; this prominence is reflected in the extraordinary quality of every element and detail here. Day 6 - From Kom Ombo to Aswan
The upper Nile boasts many fascinating sites. Today you explore the unusual dual-deity Temple of Kom Ombo, the remarkable High Dam at Aswan, the famous Unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple. Then step aboard a felucca, ancient craft of the Nile, and sail around lush Kitchener Island. Meals B,L,D
Day 7 - The Temples of Abu Simbel and back to Cairo
Disembark this morning and fly to Abu Simbel to visit the magnificent Temple of Ramses II. Carved from solid rock, the 67-foot high figures of the King are among the most impressive sites of antiquity. Rescued from the rising waters of the Aswan Dam in 1972 and moved 200 feet above the original site, the story of this engineering feat is as amazing as the ancient legends! Return to Cairo and the luxurious Sofitel el Gezirah. Meals B
Day 8 - Old Cairo and the famed Egyptian Museum
Your full day of touring begins at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, offering further insight into the world of the Pharaohs and a great reprise of the history of Egypt and the many sites visited during your Nile River cruise. Of course, your guided museum tour includes the golden treasures of Tutankhamen.
In the afternoon, you drive to the Citadel to enjoy a commanding view of the city and see the impressive Mohammed Ali Mosque. Then tour Old Cairo and see one of the Coptic Churches and the Synagogue of Bes Ezra. Today’s tour finishes at the Khan el Khalil bazaar with time to shop. Meals B
