Day 1 - Welcome to Windhoek
Settle in to your spacious verandah room at the Olive Grove House, a stylish upscale guesthouse situated in a peaceful neighborhood close to the city center. Meals D
Day 2 - Into the Namib Desert
Your private car and driver await this morning to transfer you to the airport for your light aircraft flight into the Kulala Wilderness Reserve. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly greeted and escorted to the stunning Kulala Desert Lodge.
Your stylish thatch and canvas bungalow features a private bath and verandah. The balance of your day is free to relax in this extraordinary desert setting close to the magnificent red sand dunes of Sossusvlei. Over in the main lodge, a wrap-around verandah overlooks a waterhole which regularly attracts the local wildlife including gemsbok, springbok, ostrich and jackal. Meals B,L,D
Day 3 - The Red Dunes of Sossusvlei
Head out from your lodge this morning to explore the spectacular dunes of Sossusvlei, entering through a private gate on the Tsauchab River. These world-famous towering red sand dunes have formed over millions of years, their contours continuously shaped by the desert winds to stand out in dramatic contrast to the blue Namibian sky. Return to the lodge for lunch and then join a thrilling game drive or nature walk to experience the region’s wildlife. Meals B,L,D
Day 4 - Fly to Damaraland
This morning’s light aircraft flight takes you over Namibia’s infamous Skeleton Coast into the other-worldly landscapes of Damaraland. Upon arrival at the local airstrip, you’ll be warmly greeted and transferred by private vehicle to the Damaraland Camp, where your thatched adobe bungalow is handsomely appointed with an en suite shower and large private deck.
The balance of your day is free to immerse in this amazing setting, one of the most pristine wilderness areas in Namibia. Come evening, gather around the campfire for superb stargazing in the crystal-clear night skies. Meals B,L,D
Day 5 - Into Damaraland
Damaraland Camp is situated in the Huab River Valley amidst desert plains, ancient valleys and the soaring peaks of the nearby Brandberg Mountains. Over the next 2 days, you’ll embark on thrilling game drives with our expert tracker guides, a great opportunity to see desert-adapted elephant, springbok, gemsbok and kudu. You might even observe lion, cheetah and the rare black rhino. Meals B,L,D
Day 6 - Explore more of Damaraland
Enjoy a second day of game drives to track the wildlife and experience this unique desert landscape. You’ll also visit the ancient rock art site at Twyfelfontein , a UNESCO World Heritage Site where thousands of animal figures were etched into the rock face by the late Stone Age hunter-gatherers who lived here millennia ago. Day 7 - Fly to Etosha National Park
Travel by light aircraft to Etosha where you’ll be warmly greeted and escorted to the Ongava Tented Camp. Constructed of stone, canvas and thatch, your spacious tent features a private verandah and en suite bath with open-air shower.
The Camp is located in the highly regarded Ongava Game Reserve, which shares an unfenced boundary with Etosha National Park, Namibia’s premier wildlife destination and one of the largest game reserves on the Continent. Relax on your private deck or join fellow travelers in the main area where a bar and swimming pool overlook a waterhole that often attracts the local wildlife. Meals B,L,D
Day 8 - Game Drives in Etosha
Track the large herds of big game that gather at the watering holes of the Ongava Reserve and adjacent Etosha National Park. Wildlife viewing here is especially rewarding with frequent sightings of lion, elephant, gemsbok, red hartebeest and springbok. Ongava is lauded for having one of the highest concentrations of rhinos in the country, and offers your best chance to observe both black and white rhinos! Meals B,L,D
Day 9 - Return to Windhoek
